Creating a Claim

Getting your claim started with Vala has never been this simple.

Create a New Claim:
Select βAdd Claimβ to start:
Client: Select an existing or add a new client
Type: Categorize your claim: New, Supplemental, Higher Level Review, CUE (Clear & Unmistakable Error), CAVC, Board Appeal
Conditions: Add one or more conditions relevant to the claim. CFR codes are standardized from a list of conditions and codes found in the 38CFR here.

Claims Features and Functions:

Status: Track your claim status internally: Ready to Review, Pending Evidence, Pending Decision, Submitted, Closed
Comments: Stay organized with your latest claim updates.
Claims Features: Easily assign tasks to your team, set filing and decision dates, and store all relevant claim files.
Tasks: Add tasks and update the status, priority, due date, and assignee.

Activity: Set your filing date, decision date, and case notes.

Documents: Link associated documents to your client file.
